There's often another charge in there.
And I wonder, is that 0.5 being missed?
I don't think she has mixed it up or maybe I picked it up wrong.
But there's another charge that often happens as well where it's called allocation rate, right?
And what they'll say is, we're going to give you 95% allocation, which is if you got 95% in a test, you'd be delighted.
But 95% allocation means they're taking 5% of your premium off you every time you put.
So you put 100 euros in, they're taking a five euro charge.
98% allocation means they're taking a two euro charge on the way in.
Which means you're starting on the back foot.
So if the overall figure is 1.75, and the other thing I'd say about that projection is there's lots of rules.
When I started, I remember when I started 26, 27 years ago advising clients or being in this profession, we would see projections out there of 12% and 14% per annum growth was the expectation for growth.
And eventually regulation came in and said, hold on, you can't do that anymore.
So the projections and the actual returns might be very different to what you're actually getting because you tend to find the projections are quite conservative.
What I would say is, is the 1.75, it's not fantastic.
It's not blowing you out of the water brilliant, but it's not dramatically off where you would expect to be.
And don't cut your nose off to spite your face because the other opportunities you stick it in a bank account is going to be terrible.
It possibly is.
And you might shave 20 bips.
One bip is one one hundredth of one percent.
You might clip 20 bips off or something, get it a little bit cheaper, but it's not going to be dramatically different.
