They didn't sweep through Ottawa and Philly because those teams aren't good enough.
They are superior.
And so you just have to know that, and especially with the style of play that they have,
They're going to cave you in at times.
No matter how well you're playing, they're just going to do it.
And in a game where they were not playing well, they did that in the second period.
And it's, yeah, can Montreal play better under those circumstances?
For sure.
They're also coming off 14 games in two seven-game series and not a lot of rest.
And they're not going to be able to play at 100 miles an hour for 60 minutes.
It just doesn't happen.
So I think, you know, we're going to see more of that from Carolina.
Definitely as this series moves along.
Absolutely.
Most certainly in game two.
But the funny thing for me is
think the hurricanes were looking at last night like that was all on us and we weren't good and we didn't respect them enough and yeah they did their stuff but like we were terrible and we'll come back with our best game they're not going to adjust the way they play nor that i don't i wouldn't suggest they should change their whole style but there are certain adjustments that they should make where they were particularly flawed
uh in the game was their neutral zone defense yeah it wasn't just the disconnect in their forecheck it was where they were running around and leaving space open for the canadians to operate
their details were, were, were really loose.
And, you know, I understand people will look at Jacob slave and being minus four and being like, that's the worst he's ever played in this and that, but like all the problems started up the ice and, and through the middle of it.
