And she has this term, poo-phoria, which kind of mean like we're marching to Pretoria.
We're all marching to poo-phoria.
I love this because my favorite quote in the book comes from a colleague at Vanderbilt who said,
An effortless, socially appropriately timed bowel movement is the second greatest bodily pleasure known to man.

Everybody's interested in this because almost half of us, 40% probably plus, have daily disruptive bowel problems, right?
So it's so darn common.
And 75%, I'm one of them, can't bring themselves to poop in a public bathroom.
Yeah, and the thing about the book that's so great is, just like your column in the Washington Post, Ask the Doctor, is you have a great sense of humor.
And it's an easy read because you convey things so plainly.
Everyone can understand this, even when you get into the science, which we'll talk about, which things like the gut-brain axis and other matters.
Now, I'm also one of the 33% who can't
stay regular on a vacation.
I'm surprised that number isn't even higher, you know, but 33%.
