And it gave these guys room to operate.

So that's part of it right now.

You know, teams certainly have an idea of how they want to guard Jokic, especially while Denver is shorthanded.

This is, you know, I still think they are capable of something more, but it is what's happening right now.

It is why they're in fourth place in the Western Conference right now.

And it's something that they have to figure out if they're going to remain competitive.

When they didn't have him all together, you make this wholesale identity shift, how you're playing, the type of personnel you put out there, how you defend.

When he's playing, but he's not the best player in the world, you can't necessarily make that same adaption.

So they're kind of in a weird spot since his return because he hasn't been the best version of himself, but they still have to be some sort of a Jokic-led team.

I do think it makes you wonder about the sort of starting or at least the closing conversation if it just makes it that much more simple.

You put Peyton Watson in there because he's a guy teams have to guard.

It's just too easy to run the agreed upon strategy of how to make Jokic's life difficult down the stretch.

It shouldn't be, but it is.

And I do think Brown's inability to space the floor is a big part of it.
