Okay, let me explain this for a second real quick.

Jakob Pertl probably has one of the worst contracts in the NBA right now, especially because he hasn't played much.

And so I think the Raptors are at the very least going to entertain trying to dump him this summer.

Hopefully he plays a little bit more to make it more feasible to trade him.

What makes his contract the worst contract?

It's just extremely long.

And so it's $27 million a year for another five years because they signed him on a contract.

Now, I will say there are some partially guaranteed stuff in there in the final years of his contract that can make it a little bit more feasible for teams to take on.

But that stuff hasn't kicked in yet.

So right now, it's that there are...

you know, five years left on the books of potentially $27 million a year for a player that's 30 years old and isn't one of the top five to 10 centers in the NBA, right?

Like he's a good center.

He's a starting center, but he's probably getting paid more than what a starting center is worth.

Emmanuel Quigley, on the other hand, I think I was tempted to protect him truthfully.

Hmm.

because I think $32 million over the course of the next couple of years will look a little bit more feasible on your cap sheet.

I also think he's just like what he provides on the basketball court as a shooter.

can kind of work anywhere, you know?

And so if there is an expansion team, I would actually be interested to see what a Vegas or Seattle would approach a quickly contract in like two years when it only has two more years left on its deal.
