And also so gendered.
And my dad was the softest man ever.
But suddenly when I was like, hey, like gender is a construct and I'm not the one that everyone's thought I was.
He goes to this like very aggressive gendered reaction.
It was really hurtful.
And my parents during this time had this really uncharacteristically conservative response.
Like I remember they said, we will like accept that you're trans if you move home and go to a therapist for a year, a therapist that we choose.
I was like, I'm 30 years.
And that's conversion camp.
You know what I mean?
Right.
Yeah.
Right.
Right.
Right.
But also for me, in a way, I was like, I was really afraid that you would react that way.
And you're really like letting me down.
Fuck.
But, you know, they were having their big reactions and I just had to like kind of keep moving on.
I was like, this is this train isn't stopping.
