I don't know.
His star persona was inherently a little lascivious.
And it starts with him making these like really edgy sex comedies where he's a young man.
And it's just sort of like, man, this like young, dumb, full of cum guy who's got this life to him, you know, and he's like built like a fucking rugby player.
And and then, yes, as it goes on, it's like he becomes this more legitimate, like versatile, heavyweight leading man.
But there is always that like sexual charge to him.
Which is like some of the stuff where I struggle with this movie, where you're like, this character is not presented in a way that makes me uncomfortable.
But the movie is pointing to a character, and I can't stop thinking about how right past that line, real world Gerard Depardieu starts.
It's baked into the text that this guy seems like he could be.
That's the innate dangerous energy Debra Dew has.
And I think Weir was really smart to make a movie that leads with that.
Right.
You're worried and then the chips start to, the layers fall away.
Which also, I like this movie a tremendous amount as well, but
It is kind of predicated on Annie McDowell keeps not being satisfied by these kind of hyper woke liberal.
New York softball.
Get him out of here.
I know, but this movie sets up like a series of like.
He's the big one.
