Keith helped him apply to film school, which he'd always dreamed about.

Keith was outgoing, funny.

One time when Keith was visiting Evan, Evan came home to find him fake passed out in the living room with a message spelled out in matchsticks.

But long distance was hard on them.

They broke up a couple of times, would always get back together.

They were on one of those breaks when Keith moved to San Francisco.

Said, look, we can make a real go of this now.

Evan was surprised, taken aback, and instead of jumping in feet first, he said, okay, but let's take our time, not rush things, which Keith did not take well.
