I think parents have a right to be proud of their kids, right?

In a way, you are.

You take ownership of it.

Literally, that was his job.

And I was having trouble with one or two little mechanical things on television.

For example, when we'd open the broadcast and we would do what's called the scene set.

I'd be with my partner at Westfall.

We're setting that game up.

When I asked Ed a question or brought him in, I was a little confused about, you know, what am I supposed to be doing here?

Do I look at Eddie?

Do I look at the camera?

Am I, you know, just kind of roaming my eyes all over the place?

What do I do?

And Marty, in one sentence, one sentence, changed all of that.

He said, think of the camera as the third person in a three-way conversation.

Brilliant.

That did it.
