And you grew up on Long Island anyway, so it wouldn't have been an issue.
But there used to be a Brooklyn Queens Day where we'd get off from school one day.
And I believe it was on Brooklyn Queens Day when my friend and I were at Shea Stadium.
the day that they filmed the clip from the movie The Odd Couple, where they had Bill Mazeroski at the end of the triple play.
That scene was filmed at Shea, I believe on Brooklyn Queen's Day in 1967, or else we just cut school and said to hell with it, we're going to the game anyway, which is possible.
Obviously, the show began with the announcement that the great Howie Rose, longtime member of this radio station, obviously has been broadcasting the Mets now for a million years, great history with the Rangers and the Islanders.
He is going to be retiring at the end of this upcoming season.
