The reaction after Bo Bichette.
Of course.
I'll do one tonight.
Well, you can always say hello.
I appreciate that.
That's very nice of you, but you can always come and say what's up.
I can see that.
I think he definitely presents himself as a grinder, if you will.
So I totally get the appeal of that.
That's the kind of player you want.
Especially if you're paying him, and it feels maybe even like an overpay.
He better be busting his ass.
Yeah, no doubt.
And I think he's going to want to bust his ass because he did get this opt-out after year one, which they needed to add to get him.
So as much as it's not ideal, and I'd rather it be just a straight-up three-year deal, I also understand that when you're looking to sign someone to a short-term deal, when they have a seven-year offer, you've got to go to places that you're uncomfortable with.
An opt-out after the first year, $42 million a year, the opt-out bonus, none of it's ideal.
But you do it because you don't want to give a guy seven years.
the Phillies were willing.
And the only way to compete with that are things like that.
Would I have preferred, because I always want to be honest with you, would I have preferred Kyle Tucker over Bo Bichette?
