and they've got this advantage and that advantage.
Their advantage is what the Steve Cohen advantage is supposed to be, and that is the willingness and ability to overpay to get every player you want to get.
It's beyond that.
It is beyond that.
You can argue all day and night.
That Kyle Tucker's not worth $60 million a year.
No one's going to disagree with you.
But Kyle Tucker fitted a need they thought they had.
So that's supposed to be what Steve Cohen brings to the Mets.
And Steve Cohen's not been cheap, obviously.
He's going to have a $350 million payroll this year again.
But the reality is that you're not supposed to lose out to anybody in baseball when it comes down to money.
And the New York Mets lost out on a guy...
Because of money.
And I'll tell you what.
I'd still rather be a Met fan today than a Yankee fan today based on the fact that the Mets at least are in the game.
