And there again, look, you can't overreact and you can't underreact.
You know, and obviously I was guided by the GardaΓ and the Delson office sent out an email there lately advising the same as well.
Look, I think you just make a call about what suits your own school and your own circumstances.
And I think lessons need to be learned about this because I think if there's a coordinated effort made in the future, it might avoid a kind of panic.
I think when one school tends to close, it can cause a domino effect.
And even schools may close that weren't even mentioned in the original email.
And we just need to learn from it because, as I was in Clare last year, I think there was an issue in Trim a while back.
No, I definitely think there's merit in having that.
I know even from the point of view of snow days, we try and coordinate it between the secondary schools and primary schools as well.
And there again, the danger is one school closes and it causes a knock-on effect.
But I would suggest in future that whenever a school gets a threatening message like this, that it sends straight away to the GardaΓ.
who will then determine whether it's a credible threat or not, and then advise on the right course of action.
But I think there needs to be better coordination between the schools, definitely, because it is difficult.
And a lot of schools did remain open today, as their parents may have opted to take children out of school for their own reasons.
But as far as I know, everyone's back open tomorrow, and we might sit down afterwards as a group of principals and learn from it, and maybe liaise better with the GardaΓ on it.
Well, I think that the armed response unit around the town and even around the county just to give reassurance to people and certainly we appreciated it here in the school today and thankfully we didn't need it.
But look at it, it's every day the learning day as I say and we'll learn from it and hopefully it won't happen again but if it does we'll be better prepared to deal with it.
