So what impact would it have on the special relationship?

Because you're obviously having that fractious affair at the moment where basically Trump is accusing Starmer of effectively cowardice, of abandoning the United States by not backing him in the Middle East.

It's quite tense.

The British have tried an appeasement strategy with Trump.

Clearly, that isn't working.

So if you had the roles reversed, if you had a populist right-winger in 10 Downing Street and, say, a more moderate figure in the White House, again, what does that do for that relationship?
