But again, Sinn Féin are flying high in the polls at a time of great dissatisfaction with the government.
It's quite an open contest in Galway West.
But let me just talk about one candidate in particular, because you were talking about the disaffection, anti-establishment, the fuel protests and so on.
Noel Thomas who is the Independent Ireland candidate I mean the wins are in his favour are they?
There was five seats, yeah.
So we'll see what the fuel protest counts for when it comes to the ballot box.
