I'm not used to this.
I'm not used to having a book tour.
I'm not used to going into bookshops.
I'm used to less.
So I've known success with this book, but I've also known failure.
So I would like to be asked, what does failure feel like and what can you learn from failure?
Because I have failed in my life many times and it's hard to get up, dust yourself off and get going.
But I've kind of learned how to.
So I would like to be asked about failure.
So when failure happens to you, it feels like a shame.
When you fail at something you've really tried at,
It can feel quite shameful and almost a bit embarrassing.
So things like not getting the job that you, you know, you thought you were going to or maybe even you told people that you were shooing or writing a book and watching it go quite well and then disappear into the ether or...
failure to what we talked about earlier you know maybe trying for a child and and walking away from the IVF clinic for the last time and realizing that's it for me I feel like there is a shame attached to failure but there just should never ever be any shame attached to failure because
If you have failed at something, it has meant that you have tried at something.
And that's brave in itself.
And no matter the outcome, you must look back on that yourself.
And you must say to yourself, good on you.
You had a go.
Sarah, this has been an absolute delight.
