Remember that Bo is an informal and colloquial expression.
so only use it when it's ok to do so.
If you are at a job interview or you are sitting an exam, then it's probably not a good idea to use bo.
The next word is a word I had never really thought of until my students told me how much they like it.
I'm talking about figurati.
Have you heard of figurati before?
Figurati is often used instead of prego, when someone is thanking you and you want to stress the fact that it's your pleasure.
For example, grazie mille per il consiglio.
Thank you so much for the advice.
Figurati!
o Ma figurati!
Not at all!
Another meaning of figurati is don't worry or it's nothing.
For example, if your friend forgot to return you a book you had previously lent them and they are apologizing for that, but it's not really a big deal for you, you can say...
Ma figurati!
Don't worry, not at all!
However, there is also some sort of opposite meaning that figurati can have, which is absolutely not or of course not.
As always, the context and the intonation makes it clear that it's the case.
Imagine this situation or indeed this question.
