Like I wish I could tell you in full, like how much of a mess I believe some of these teams have been operated and it takes someone to come in and clean a lot of that up.
And.
I do think the one thing that Jim Rutherford had going for him at the start is that he began to reshape a lot of that.
But I believe in the end fell back on a lot of the same things that I just was critical of.

And I'm just waiting for someone, and I don't mean in Vancouver, I mean somewhere
To actually begin to run this like a business where if you're the CEO of a major company.
What you do is you go out and hire the best people you go out and hire the best amateur scout, you can find the best pro scout the best in all these different departments and the funnel and filtering of information.
We could talk literally for hours about this.
It needs to change.
Well, I think the interesting thing for me was that when the Seattle Kraken announced a number of weeks ago that they were going to audit essentially how their organization functions,
they originally said that they were going to be doing it themselves.
And I, the first thing I thought of was the Spider-Man meme of like, wait, wait, we're going to look into ourselves.
Like how, how's that going to work?
Yeah.
So now that sportsology is coming in, I think it's an interesting choice in that they might be able to advise on best practices and, and highlight shortcomings that requires true transparency and honesty.
But beyond that,
maybe it's good that they don't have very much hockey experience i don't necessarily want more hockey experience and interestingly enough john chaco is part of that sportsology group advising them on the hockey side of their business um maybe getting that fresh outside perspective is really valuable in terms of highlighting some flaws in your processes
