I've always thought if there's one thing I would want to see him get better at on offense, and obviously this is an extraordinary Nick nitpick because he is an unbelievably complete offensive player, but yeah, yes. I've always thought the thing that I would want to see him get better at is just getting better post positioning before he receives the basketball.
Yeah, and I think it's got to be ā the reason why I feel like it's the thing I would want to see him get better at is because I feel like it should be easy for him to get better. It's got to be a mentality thing. I've spoken about it with him a little bit. I've never really gotten a great answer as to why.

I think he's a little more ā I think he's more comfortable in the mid-post because then he can turn around and go to a face-up game when he's in the mid-post. So he kind of almost likes that. But he's ā it's not like he shies away from physicality. For all the talk of Kat's reputation of soft or whatever else, Kat is one of the most physical offensive players in the NBA, without question.

The dude goes right at everybody on his drives. He goes right at everybody on his face-offs. He will battle on his face-ups. He will battle with you. for every single offensive rebound. Like he is crazy physical down low. So it's not a comfort with physicality thing. I think it's a comfort with the geography of the floor thing.

And I would just love to be able to see him get a little more comfortable catching the ball with a foot in the paint because he's so big. And he can just turn around. And, and, and sometimes it's okay to go get the ball in the mid post.

You know, I asked Tibbs about it recently and Tibbs was talking about like, sometimes if he's got a center on him, usually that center is going to be less skilled, less quick than he is. So you want to go out to the mid post as opposed to all the way down low where you're allowed to get away with more stuff, according to the rules. Like it's not a foul stuff that you do in the post.

If you do, you know, 12 feet from the rim. And on top of that, Kat can use his quickness.

better when he's farther away from the rim it gives him more room to operate he probably throws fouls at a much higher rate when he catches mid post and can rip and go yep but that being said there are a lot of times when opponents will put a wing or a small on him and the knicks are going to see that in the playoffs whether jaylen brunson's there or not they're going to see wings and smalls on him in the playoffs lord knows they're going to see that against boston you're going to see drew holiday guarding cat at times like not like switching on to cat
