So like this job will not last forever because they either run the money or they sell.
She's out either way.
So she can't like really move with me, but she's very adamant on staying because she likes her life here.
But you know, I think as you get older, like, you know, I'm sure you did this in your twenties too, but I, like, I just sacrificed everything for a little bit of stage time.
And I lost a lot of friends.
I didn't go to like some of my best friend's weddings because I was in like some NBC showcase that nothing ever happened after that, you know?
And in retrospect, it's like,
who cares about that showcase?
Like, it's not one thing in comedy.
And I did do it, and I don't regret it, but I can own the consequences of that, right?
So I think in my 30s, I just said, like, look, I'm always gonna do comedy, but there's, like, there are times where I want to prioritize, like, my life, my happiness, my partner, like...
Because that stuff, to me, it's all related.
The happier I am, the more comfortable I am, the more I can think about comedy.
Because if I'm worried about other stuff, I can't even think about writing, because I'm worried about other stuff.
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm a huge fan.
I think the shift was Ali Wong said, let me produce a special for you.
I would like that shift as well.
Maybe that was his pitch and he was hoping you'd be like, let me produce a special for you.
And every single one counted in a weird way.
You don't think about that.
