I have a real issue here, governance-wise, with CAF as well.
Because when it's convenient,
critics say, oh, CAF is just a puppet of FIFA.
Now a decision like this is made, is this CAF on their own?
Because if FIFA does have an undue influence over CAF, as people, as many critics suggest, then FIFA should go to them and say, hey, guys, no.
I genuinely don't understand.
You have the hotels.
You have the stadium.
You spent a ton on them.
You were able to hold a men's tournament there two months ago.
Obviously, women's football, you're going to get much fewer fans, much fewer people traveling.
It should be easier.
What did you do?
Did you book out the facilities for somebody else?
What is the problem here?
Incredible.
These are personal decisions that people make.
I think a lot of this has been politicized a little bit with people speculating about, you know,
There's a politician in Australia who said, oh, you know, they're being trafficked back.
He wants to employ anti-trafficking, saying that the women who have chosen to go back to Iran aren't doing so of their own free will and that they're being trafficked and held hostage.
