And so they haven't played under these lights before, but I'm sure they're going to be ready for the challenge.
And I've got to keep your eye on, aside from Dykoff,
I think is Jordan Bach.
He was a big part of that Big 12 final game to help secure the conference tournament championship.
He was hitting leadoff for a lot of the year.
He got bumped down in the lineup just to kind of shake things up.
Doesn't say anything bad about who he is.
But he was the best hitter on the team to start the year.
And then he just got โ he fell back a little bit, and he's been really consistent more recently.
I think he's going to stay in that five or six hole in the lineup, but as a left-hand bat playing right field, he contributes on offense, he contributes on defense, he's top three on the team in steals.
He's going to be all over the field, and he's a graduate student, a fifth-year guy, so he brings a lot of experience.
So watch for him off the field leading the guys, pumping them up, and watch for a big Jordan Bach moment in Lawrence Regional.
Well, if you talk to any baseball guy, they'll tell you that a base is stolen off the pitcher.
It's not stolen off the catcher.
All the catcher is doing is trying to compensate for the jump that the runner got by making a good throw.
But if, as a base runner, you're counting how long the pitcher waits before he lifts his leg and throws and you get a good jump, like I said, that means you're stealing off the pitcher.
So it is on Dominic Vagley to mix up his looks and control the running game.
But ultimately, if you're not allowing base runners โ
You have to be on first base to steal second, right?
