Okay, talking about that then, I want to ask you a question.
Gary Ablett last night was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he's been one of the superstars of the game.
He talked about that toe poke incident in that grand final.
So Scarlett just taps the ball with his foot.
It runs through to Gary.
But did you think the interesting part about that whole story was that Gary just β
In his own understanding of where the game was at, was he decided to position himself in that part of the game, believing that if we do win the ball, then this is where I need to be?
Because the ball was still very much in dispute at that stage in the middle of the ground.
Correct.
You've got to be more conservative.
But the other part about that, when you looked at the vision, though, too, when you break those sorts of things down, so he decides, okay, that's where I want to go because if we do win the ball, there's some space there and I'll be in the right position to back send the ball forward.
But then there was a bit of pressure coming from the opposition as well.
And did you see the way he sort of just lowered his body and then just sort of shimmied and swerved?
Shimmy.
And then just kicked the ball forward and that's when obviously Chapman crumpled it and kicked that goal around the corner, which is probably not what Saints fans want to relive this morning.
But he just had this super ability and understanding and instinct for the game.
I'm probably the most boring press conference to go to because I just don't make a habit of explaining to the opposition what our plans are.
But they just have quality everywhere.
I think they're rightly considered a contender.
We're massively excited about our next guest.
