How important is it to know the history of the category that you're going into when you're starting a new company?

If I go by the Airbnb example, maybe not so important, but as you're in it, you have to learn everything about it.

In fact, there's an essay about it called Schlepp Blindness.

Should everyone become X, Y, or Z?

And the answer is no, there's no one size fits all profession for someone.

And then some of them are so hard, like Founder, that you better know that that's the only thing you could do.

Otherwise you'll go crazy because on every other day, you're going to say, you know what, this is too hard and I'm out.
