And we probably weren't sharp enough on the contract there because of the previous relationship I had with Gary and we were going into this next phase with all the right intentions and all the rest of it, but it just didn't work out.

So yeah, it turned out that I only did two years of driving there and then went and did something else.

Well, I didn't have that because, you know, the championship was starting late February, I think it was, that year.

And by the time early January comes around, all the seats are done.

Yeah, they're full.

And I'm not going to go and drive just for the sake of driving.

At that stage, I've done enough in the category that I'm not just going to go and drive a car because I need to drive a car.

So I knew...

I knew that Triple Eight, so I can't remember the dates, but I think this was like early in the week.

And then I knew that Triple Eight were announcing on the weekend or doing their livery reveal, right?

And I also knew that Craig was going to be driving with Jamie and I, because Craig retired at the end of 2018.

So I knew Craig was going to be driving with Jamie and they hadn't really said who was going to be with Shane, right?

And I knew that when they do their livery reveals, they would always announce their co-drivers.

So got on the front foot pretty quickly and got in contact through Tim Miles with RD.

And that was like deals done 24 hours.
