The extremes for me, um,
There's an example in, I thought that first half, I was with Damien, we watched that first half against England at Wembley.
I thought that first half was exceptional.
I know we lost 5-0, but I thought that performance in that first half in terms of how the team functioned, with and without the ball, Collins playing in that kind of hybrid centre-back position, I was so impressed with it.
I don't, and then I agree totally with what Damien said there.
I love the fact that he came out and said, to quote Jaime, I'm not a populist in terms of changing the way we're going to play against Armenia.
quite turgid stuff at the time, but he recognised that that was going to be the way to get us forward.
We ended up winning that game in the second half.
He made no apologies for it.
No issues about how we play.
I've always sensed about how effective we are in the tactics that have been chosen.
I would still look at it and think in the euphoria of that Hungary game, there were periods where I thought, what are we doing here?
I wasn't quite sure what we were doing.
It felt a little bit off the cuff.
And I would just be looking at his whole body of work.
I think we've got a lot of low opinions of ourselves as a country because we've struggled for so long that when someone suddenly comes in, we're like thinking, is this guy Pep Guardiola?
He's not that.
I think he's a really genuine guy.
I love how he conducts himself.
I totally agree there.
