And then sometimes the players come on to me because he just wants to confirm and sign off and know that he's done that.
You know, reach out, have 10, 15 minutes with Gary.
I do it every time before the game.
Makes me feel better.
And I know I've ticked that box.
And it's not a tick box exercise, but he knows that he's covered off on everything.
And it makes him feel a lot better and hopefully helps him sleep better.
Well, first of all, we go back over his plan.
Have you done everything you said you would do this week?
Yes, I have.
You've had some mistakes in training because training is designed for mistakes.
It's designed to learn and grow.
So there's nothing wrong with that.
So you normalize stuff.
But also, if a player is a little bit more on the anxious side,
You know, I might sit with them and do a breathing practice, for example.
So within the plan itself, they would have some rituals, some strategies around how to manage the mind.
So we would talk about thinking hygiene, right?
So washing out some of the maybe more negative thinking that will appear in a player's mind by journaling.
