And so that means if it's something that's really popular, we'll buy multiple copies of it so we don't just have the one copy.
There are other models.
So even within Libby, there are some other models.
There's something that's called simultaneous use.
So there are some titles that we can buy that have a simultaneous use license.
So that means multiple people can use them at once.
There are other platforms, something like Hoopla, where the library buys that platform and they buy all the content as part of it.
In Libby, we select the individual titles that we offer to our patrons, but Hoopla, you would buy the sort of the whole catalog.
And Hoopla titles are typically available.
Multiple people can borrow them at the same time.
So it really depends on the model that the publisher has set up.
I think so.
Hoopla isn't something we have at Calgary Public Library, but I believe that you can set it up so that there's a parameter.
So depending on your library and the library's budget, they might have a limited number of titles per month, I think is how it typically works.
We have a streaming video database called Kanopy, which operates in a similar way.
We offer at Calgary Public Library 14 tickets a month, and each piece of content in Kanopy is worth a different number of tickets.
So you have 14 tickets, and you can apply those to whatever content you want during the month.
There's no wait times for streaming videos in Kanopy, for example.
You could be watching a video at the same time as someone else, and you have those 14 tickets to use.
So it's free for patrons.
