And I mean, I'm glad you're like out there doing the literature too, because, you know, I occasionally will cross over and read some general surgery literature.
But, you know, I couldn't even tell you what an ID journal, like what their top journal is, you know, it's not one that I think urologists probably cross over to very much.
Yeah.
I've talked about that with a couple of different folks in a couple of different domains about kind of
stealing from other societies, looking at what's common and what's novel and what's old to like, like, oh, you know, ENT already tried all this for trakes and it didn't work.
You know, maybe we shouldn't be, you know, investing our resources in X, Y, Z, you know, initiative.
I always find those like those cross specialty considerations really fascinating.
As far as the future, what do you think it holds?
Yeah, moving from cleaning to like equilibrium again.
Yeah, I like the comparison to the gut microbiome.
Like, you know, nowadays people are all about how do we like enhance and strengthen their gut microbiome.
We probably need to get out of the mindset of eradicating in urology and start thinking about like optimizing.
Yeah.
And just didn't quite understand their symptoms and we're doing our best, but, you know, maybe took them out of the equilibrium that they've been living in for a long time.
As far as the future goes, you know, if a urology department or, you know, subsection, you know, if at Ohio State we decided we wanted to kind of improve our antibiotic protocols, are there models and programs that you've seen work well in urology that we should think about?
Yeah.
And it's all, I mean, it's all for, you know, for the betterment of the patient and there's no, there's no better motivation than that for, for doing something.
