The thing that I find disheartening about modern gay culture is it's been totally
uh... overtaken by uh... again like everything else by consumerism if you're gay you're supposed to like shitty records that are only meant for thirteen-year-old girls you're supposed to wear a white t-shirt workout five times a week if you want to even a vague chance you know in the gay community and all this stuff you're certain we're supposed to wear certain clothes uh... use lots and lots of grooming products and
Gay people are some of the most interesting people on the planet because they are born into an environment which is going to be difficult for them, i.e.
the world is full of human beings trying to procreate and that's not what we're here for, you know.
And the honest truth is you learn to question everything once you start to question people's opinion of your own sexuality.
If you're brave enough to...
tell people to mentally want people to get lost if they're homophobic, right?
If you are strong enough to realize that what you are is not wrong and yet a large percentage of the world is telling you it is, then you begin to question everything.
because a major part of your being you have to fight for, right?
So that, by nature, means that gay people question life earlier on and therefore are generally, creatively and in other ways, more interesting people.
So how have we been reduced...
to, you know, gym queens that dance around to Kylie.
There's nothing wrong with being a queen.
There's nothing wrong with going to the gym.
There's nothing wrong with listening to Kylie.
But the fact that you're expected to do all these things, where's the time to be interesting, you know?
It's just, I hate that.
I think it's absolutely a moronic culture and I think it's unworthy of gay people in general.
