Several Minnesota officials have been subpoenaed amid the Trump administration's immigration enforcement surge in the state.
Officials said today they're seeking documents from Governor Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty as part of a widening DOJ inquiry.
Officials say the probe centers on whether public statements and policies by those leaders impeded ICE agents deployed to the state.
Both Walz and Frey have strongly denied those allegations, calling the investigation politically motivated.
Meanwhile, Denmark is beefing up its military in Greenland in direct response to Trump saying he's going to acquire the Arctic territory.
