While GLP-1 drugs can lead to weight loss and decreased appetite, patients who do not maintain an adequate diet can experience serious consequences.

Claire Collins, a professor of nutrition at the University of Newcastle, Australia, highlighted that a reduction in body weight does not automatically mean that a person is well-nourished or healthy.
