They needed somebody to step forth and man the fort.

And while Carlton might only be lukewarm on the future of Michael Voss, Michael Voss committed wholeheartedly to defending Carlton.

And I think they owe him a debt of gratitude for that.

I agree.

So I thought Voss landed that extremely well.

It was hard to land bullying, but it rallied the troops.

He was there to defend his footy club, and now they go on trial with the AFL.

So I thought he was able to land that.

And I thought he landed the – it is – this is a broader conversation, is the rush to judgment.

Graham Wright missed this on the Sunday.

He didn't give any of the context around the care that they had provided for Elijah Hollins across a number of years, and he didn't defend the staff.

And that left the vacuum from Sunday to Thursday.

And Carlton has to own that.

It was a very poor press conference, and then they hemorrhaged up until Michael Voss took the stand, and now they're at the mercy of the AFL having provided their response.
