They'll try and get in the corridor.
They'll try and be brave.
They'll get that overlap handball that has to be really aggressive tonight.
And I think they'll look for that little short 20-meter, 45-degree angle kick.
with the runners coming.
So, uh, that's what we'll try and see tonight.
And, and they've just got to try and stretch that, uh, Fremantle defense as best they can.
So we know that they're really good Fremantle when they're playing against teams that play a one dimensional inside 50 offense.
Um, Hawthorne is so good though, at, at, at changing angles when they go in their front half, they, they have those high half forwards, which is so dangerous at the moment and they create space.
Fremantle's defenders have got to make a decision.
Do we follow them up the field?
Ginnivan, McDonald, Wizard, do they get those?
Do they follow them up or do they keep their defensive system in shape?
Because we know they're so fast at getting back inside forward 50 and creating some really dangerous opportunities.
And I'm trying to replicate this a bit too.
I love how they use Gunston.
I've said it every week, I think, every time we've talked about
Hawthorne, he just creates so much space.
And this ground, the Optus Stadium in Perth, has big wide pockets, which is really going to suit Hawthorne too.
So I think if Hawthorne can survive the first 20 minutes of this game, their biggest task might be just that first part of that emotional composure when you are playing away.
