Hello to you, Sando.
G'day, Gerard.
I'll just put you and your guys as the president of the Coaches Association before we start, if you don't mind.
It's been a pretty remarkable week, starting with the passing of Neil Danaher and what he's meant to the profession.
is is incredible so i know there's so many people emotional this week and there's so many people really struggling but um yeah his his legacy is is is right up there and the lifetime achievement award of the coaches association is named in neil's honor he won that himself in 2014 and by the time it was presented to chris fagan last year it's so full of meaning that it carried neil's name yeah without question and i know the
Yep.
It'll be really something when it comes along in a couple of weeks time.
And then on the coaching front, as it is now, we've had two sackings before the halfway mark of the season.
How do you feel about that as a leader within the profession?
So sackings in the first half of seasons in the AFL have been rare.
We sort of made that point early in the season compared to codes around the world and even within this country.
Are you at all fearful that it might become more normalised in the AFL?
And you've written a piece for the age on Saturday.
Right.
I look forward to reading that on Saturday and picking up the conversation with you.
Our games, we're going to do the Bulldogs and Collingwood, Brisbane and Fremantle.
Our starting point here is Friday night footy when Carlton and Geelong meets.
Chris Scott and Josh Fraser there, and the Blues have an excellent recent record against the Cats.
So, Sando, what are you seeing as the improvements, the evolutions in Carlton?
So it could be a danger game.
