There was a therapist.
And they would discuss with the therapist after every conversation with the chatbot about what happened, how they felt about it, what were the reactions, the reactions they had, what happened in their emotions.
And actually what we saw, like the results were pretty interesting.
For us, they were promising enough to maybe want to further test the model if you want.
Yeah, that's an amazing question, especially for me.
I totally understand.
I don't come from the generation of like AI.
Like AI is...
an older person so AI is pretty scary for me in a way but I think if we see it as a tool like any other tools that we have that could help someone overcome some relational difficulties and understand the complexities of relation and understand that rejection unfortunately is part of one's romantic life I think it could achieve its purpose however only when it is used as the tool
to go into real-world relationships, not the end of the relationship itself.
And so this is why we insisted on having a therapist present, because the idea was to accompany the person into using that tool to understand
what complexities and how to face rejection and deal with it so that in the real world experiences, they can overcome this difficulty.
So it was just a pilot, right?
So I don't think we can say that it works.
I think we can say that it has showed some promising aspects.
And those promising aspects were...
that the people, some of the participants told us that at some point in time, they forgot they were talking to a chatbot.
they felt emotions that they would feel when they're chatting with a real person.
So what is good, there's a bad side to this, is the fact forgetting that you're talking to a chatbot.
And this is the risky and slippery side where it doesn't become the tool anymore.
