An anti-trafficking advocate and survivor of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein says the arrest of the former Prince Andrew by British police is monumental.

And Liz Stein told NPR that the British government is giving survivors more confidence in the justice system than in the United States.

Andrew, Mountbatten-Windsor was released after about 11 hours.

British police have said they are investigating a complaint that alleges Mountbatten-Windsor shared confidential government documents with Epstein when he worked as a trade envoy.

The Attorney General's Office in New Mexico says it's reopening an investigation into allegations of criminal activity at Jeffrey Epstein's former ranch outside of Santa Fe.

Special agents and prosecutors will seek immediate access to the full unredacted federal files on Epstein.

Actor Eric Dane has died.

Dane's family says he died Thursday at age 53, less than a year after revealing his ALS diagnosis.

For 15 years, Dane played a plastic surgeon nicknamed McSteamy on Grey's Anatomy.

At the Winter Olympics, Alyssa Liu won gold in the women's figure skating competition, ending the U.S.

two-decade drought in that event.

Authorities in Northern California say it will be at least another day before crews can attempt to recover the bodies of the eight backcountry skiers who were killed in Tuesday's avalanche and resume the search for a ninth person still missing and presumed dead.

Six other survivors were rescued.
