Which is insane.
It is wild.
Bruce Meyer is the guy who is taking over.
He was the chief negotiator in 2022.
He's going to be the chief negotiator and the head of the union whenever they start negotiating.
The salary cap is going to be the thing.
That is, in plain, simple terms,
It's all about the salary cap.
This is something that I brought up a few times, and I know Evan was screaming about it yesterday as well, about how the owners of these smaller market teams also deserve...
criticism during this and it shouldn't just be about the dodgers and the mets that people focus on and and this is something that we talked about where i said i don't know if all these small market owners are so thrilled about a salary cap and a salary floor because if you think about the tax bill just for the dodgers this year with the cbt it's going to be 160 million dollars now if
50% of that gets distributed to the non-tax paying teams in addition to all the other revenue sharing that these other teams get.
So these smaller market owners are taking that money and they're not investing it in the roster.
They're lining their pockets with it.
I mean, that's why you don't hear any of these guys screaming about the salary cap as much.
I mean, it's more like it's...
I just, I don't know.
I know that's what they want, but I guarantee you there will be some owners that are like, I think I could actually make more money myself.
Does every owner that has a small market team care about winning more than making money?
Because I don't think some of them think they could do both at the same time.
Yeah, of course.
