Grow the economy.

You're not going to get out with just cuts.

You've got to grow the economy.

That's AI and that's energy.

The Middle East, you can't just walk away from it.

You can't just leave it in a vacuum.

Even if we don't need their oil the way we used to, the world reacts to what happens there.

Prices move, market shakes, allies panic.

So you don't disappear.

You just stop being the only adult in the room that will do anything.

You'll notice how the Middle East, how Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, all of them are now saying, okay, we're prepared to take a little larger role here.

We're going to get involved here.

Let the countries that depend on that region for oil take responsibility for securing it.

That's not our job anymore.

That's a very different world than the world we've been living in for the last half century or so.

Now pull it all together.

This is not a master plan with perfect execution.

It's a direction.

Less dependency on unstable regions, more production at home and nearby, more leverage with allies, make us the source of energy and AI and everything else.

and handle adversaries without direct confrontation.
