Like, I did like that Scott is not playing just a jerk.

They double down.

He's not just a grump and irascible curmudgeon.

He physically injures someone.

That is not surliness.

That is sociopathy.

That is real.

That raises the stakes in a big way in a way that I'm not entirely sure the movie's in control of because that really risks what you mentioned, Jordan, me not giving a crap about what happens to this guy.
