Listen, there's a lot to pick through here.
and it's funny because let me just say this let me just like before we get into the meat and potatoes I think that it needs to just be said like the stating the obvious because sometimes people don't want to state the obvious the obvious is the Red Sox screwed up the Bregman thing and the Red Sox are also a better team with Ranger Suarez okay that's it
No, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm saying it's two different things.
We could have the conversation about how the Red Sox messed up the Alex Bregman thing, which doesn't seem room for interpretation, right?
There's that, and then there's, okay, you got Ranger Suarez.
You were better than you were yesterday.
And also, it's a reminder that there is absolutely no way they are not making a trade with some of these pitchers.
I mean, and that's the way that they're going to get the bat to get to replace whatever Bregman, whatever that looks like.
Um, so I think they could have gone and we were talking, well, texting earlier today, as I heard, like I, you hear about that.
They, this was, we, I heard a couple of days ago after the Bregman thing, like some other people that this was going to be their pivot run prevention, right?
Run prevention.
And it made some sense because you get the higher end pitcher, which you never thought they would be back in the market for.
And then you get a bat that's not going to cost you as much.
It is what it is.
But you're playing the run prevention game.
You go that.
Now, the difference was when I heard that this afternoon about the level of pitcher that they were going after, like that was like, ooh.
Ooh, and really it was for a trade.
