We had guys on here saying that Celtic were going to win this and everything that was going, Europe, everything that was put in front of them because of the football, the style.

This guy just will take Celtic to a new level.

And he failed miserably.

He failed absolutely miserably.

So you can't really tell until they're in.

Yes, you can look at their CVs and I go back to the Motherwell manager.

I didn't look at the motherwell manager's CV and think, God, he's got to be one of the best coaches Motherwell ever, ever had.

He come in and he just brought something else to Motherwell and it worked for him.

But me personally, I've said that if you're going to choose between those two,

I would be sticking with Martin O'Neill all day.

I keep going back to this age thing that people talk about.

He's 74 and he's still won a double.

He's got people that can do it.

He can bring the club together.

It's a big job next year.

Everything's a big job.

It's a big rebuilding job for Celtic because if they've got to really have a go in Europe...

they need better players they need players out they need better quality and their transfer windows have been shocking and Celtic fans will admit that I just think there's a problem sometimes between the supporters and the board I think Martin's a good sort of a guy that's in the middle that'll bring that together and help bring that together and then maybe in a year or so down the line

When Martin eventually did say, right, okay, I've done what I've done.
