There's a rumour going about that apparently John has been in at Tyne Castle doing the Hearts training all week.

he's the only manager in the full league that knows how to play against Motherwell works on it absolutely brilliant tactically and he's got the making of them so if I was Derek McInnes I would be phoning up John and saying listen do you want a wee job for a week?

Yeah, I think there was a few good candidates in for that job.

I'm sure they looked at Mick Kennedy at East Kilbride who's done a terrific job up there.

Naismith was in running for manager of the year second this season fourth last year finished second and they decided to go with that appointment so it's an interesting one good club good club if he can go down there and get that going good support as well everything about it good facilities new training ground Gordon so wish him all the best I think he deserves that opportunity but do you not think the timing of it is a bit strange when they're in these playoff games

before he kicked anything else off just said the style's not good I've not seen any evidence of a style that he likes that's a sort of different thing I suppose from the points argument That's probably one of the things I do agree with James I don't look at him and think they play a very attractive football I've got to say but it's not that long ago

Forget the points gap before the move when he came in.

He took over Russell Martin's team.

Yes, we all know that Russell Martin was an absolute disaster.

He was sitting top of the league for one night.

But going into the split, he still had the league in his own hands.

He didn't need to depend on anybody.

He came up two big games and he's failed miserably.

But...

If you look at the league table, they've lost the fewest games before and they've scored the most goals.

So you wonder, how come they're not closer?
