But you don't have to though, right?
You know the counter-arguments, James.
You know what I'm probably going to say.
Firstly, the whole look at where we were when he took over.
That's what Rangers fans say.
There was that improvement.
We wouldn't have been in a title race if it wasn't for him.
And the other one is, can't keep sacking managers the way that you have been.
Do you buy any of those counter-points?
The only thing about that, to be fair, is that wasn't an issue two weeks ago, three weeks ago, when a lot of people thought Rangers could win the title.
Now, James is entitled to sit tonight and say, well, we're now not going to win it, but it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
There's a couple of bits Gordon, we're arguing a lot about points gaps when he took over, points gaps now, whether that is progression, how that progression is, but then there's the other bit that James mentions, he
James, thank you.
What about John, who's on the other line?
Hi, John.
and if it's no way down the road then fine but let's give him a chance you know what I mean I think obviously you acknowledge that John about we are quite impatient but just something that jumped out there when you said if it takes a year or two then so be it given what Celtic are in at the moment don't know who their manager is next season so many players going to leave having one of their worst performances in years loads of players leaving no football structure etc etc
Do you think your fellow Rangers fans would stomach this taking another couple of years to win a title?
Well... If you were up against a Celtic team that's absolutely flying, everything's in place, and you think, well, it's going to take a little while to rein them in, you're understanding fine, but do you think your fellow fans would accept another couple of years away from a title?
I know but then Wilfried Nancy came in and things changed a bit that's not a David Angels I'm not really I mean I don't I cannae we cannae dictate how Celtic are going to run their business but any team in the world though when you're talking about your chances of winning a title you're thinking about those chances relative to your competitors in that league though I mean that's just that has to be the way it is well if I have to use an example then if you look down in England Man City have been flying there for 10 years right
Because the thing is, because everyone's version of short-term is different, the first bit of John's point makes perfect sense.
