OK, the financial fair play situation might damage them in the short term, but it looks like they're going to be here for a very long time.
Well, I think the board deserves great credit for keeping their nerve and keeping their manager.
I mean, I ask myself the question, of all the other Premier League teams, who would have kept their manager after that?
I'm not sure if there would have been too many.
So the board, the chief executive who is obviously in contact with the owners and the board on a more regular basis, standing manager, he's obviously stuck up for them, so he deserves great credit.
the players and the supporters.
You know, I was manager there briefly for a year and they're a good lot.
You know, the expectation of them is they're not through the roof at the club.
And I think he's done a marvellous job.
You know, to come back and, you know, as he touched on there, it's still sore for him when he says, you know, that result's going to be with me for the rest of my life.
He's got to park that and get on with it.
And I think since that result, I think they've shown what they're made of.
You know, they're more than capable of being a Premier League team.
with that group of players.
And the scoring goals is always a big issue for them.
But I see that as a squad that's more than good enough to survive in the Premier League.
And I think, listening to the guy speak, I think he's sound, pragmatic, and he said the experience of that terrible, terrible result, and he'd be better for it.
He wouldn't have enjoyed it, but ultimately he'd be a better manager for it.
I can only ever once remember Bob Pacey doing anything remotely psychological.
