Yeah, they put bodies on the line and had a right goal, but they didn't overstep the mark that I can remember on any occasion.
And I suppose they ended up deserving to win the game.
Man Utd will look at some of the chances they had and another day they would have scored a goal and maybe Newcastle would have rolled over at that point.
But Newcastle stuck with it.
They set the stall out not to concede and not to get beat.
Listen, we can speculate, but see, when you're down there and you know every game is so vital to you, some people find it hard to perform under those circumstances, and others can deal with it, and it'll be the ones that deal with it best will survive.
And over a long period of time, like our season is, it's a grind at times.
At the end of nine months, if you've gone down, it's because you deserve to go down.
Yeah, I mean we've had a lot of rain down here on the sunny south coast and I think the one that typifies it for me would be Harry Kane's late on inside left position where he's pulled it and again, if you think a lot of the shots, a lot of the shots were pulled and I think that's to do with the heavy conditions, a lot of the time the ball was not exactly in front where you want it, it was somewhere in between your feet and there were pulling shots, you know, people that normally would be hitting the target making the goalkeeper work.
But from Southampton's point of view, it's a really good point against a very good team for Tottenham.
They huffed and puffed a lot today.
They missed Eriksen's clinical passing in the last third.
Dembele was not quite at it, not played for a few weeks, didn't look to be up to speed.
And I think they missed Eriksen.
greatly today because he is the one that when the games are really tight he can deliver the cute and clever pass to Harry or somebody else.
So you see Sanchez, if we saw it again, he is back, he actually slows down, and he thinks he's in the right place, but unfortunately for him, he could have done with just being half a yard further on, just contained his run a wee bit more, and it's a case of staying on your feet and passing it out of play.
But it could have gone the other side of him if he does come the extra yard.
It's one of those things.
Yeah, he's a young boy and he's got great delivery, especially from set pieces.
He can put a ball on a sixpence.
