Of course, there'll still be the marginal calls where they'd have to go to VAR, because I think VAR is here to stay.
People invested so much money and time in it, I think that's here to stay.
And I think we are putting the referees under enormous pressure under the current rule of offside where, you know, it can be a toenail, it can be
you know, a shoulder, it can be, you know, a couple of hairs on your head.
And I just think it's a common sense one to take.
Nobody, no supporter is happy with VAR.
Nobody is.
You know, even when we're in the studio and there's a gone to VAR, we're sitting there, you know, there's like 30 seconds, a minute, minute and a half, two minutes before sometimes they make the call.
No, it has.
It has.
Listen, VAR is a tool to help referees make the right call.
Ultimately, it still comes down to, you know, a human making the call in...
with their interpretation of the rules.
And they don't always get it right.
It's put them under enormous pressure.
I think we have to try and simplify it for them.
And this offside suggestion, I think, would take a lot of the drama and the wasted minutes waiting for VAR decisions to be decided.
