You hear every season, we've got big characters in the dressing room, we've got strong men, people you want with you when the going gets tough.

Yeah, that's when they're winning.

One of the first things I would say to a group of players when I took a job, I'll only find out about you and you'll only find out about me when we lose two or three games back-to-back, and then we'll see what we're all made of.

And right now that's where Newcastle find themselves.

They've got to grow some.

They've got to stand up, look at themselves in the mirror and say, that can't happen again.

We can't get rolled over like that where people are not giving their all.

OK, they get a player sent off, but there's teams that have gone down to 10 men.

You see it every season.

And it's very hard sometimes to play against 10 men because the 10 men never move out of their positions.

But Newcastle, that 10 men were all over the place.

Well, the first thing he has to do is somehow get the players to believe in themselves a bit more.

He can't really come out and say it, but the players weren't at it.

The players did throw the towel in.

The players weren't winning challenges.

Yeah, an enthusiastic young midfielder.

I think the average age is at 22 years and five months or something.

And they were getting bullied by them.

That shouldn't happen.
