I thought it was only desert.
And that's where the misperception is.
But it's, you know...
One side, you've got the river that goes, the Babylon River that goes through the middle of Baghdad.
And, you know, obviously that's where the Iraqi FA office is and everything.
And on one side of the river, sorry, it's history.
And when I say that, it's, you know, you've got a lot of old buildings.
You've still got buildings that are still there that got bombed.
But they use that as history and they don't, you know, not like any other countries I might knock it down, build a block of apartments or whatever.
They leave it because it's part of their history.
On the other side of the river, mate, it's all brand new.
It's all like I say here that it's very similar to Homebush here in Sydney, that apartment blocks everywhere, compounds, all the embassies are there.
massive parks for the kids to play around, massive malls, shopping malls, biggest shopping malls I've ever seen.
And so people live that normal life.
But Baghdad is obviously very, very busy because of the population and the
And everything that's there.
But overall, the country is, I felt safe there.
I've been there, you know, twice now with the wars going off around Iran, Iraq.
It hasn't been, you know, in the middle of a war.
