So at some point you have to have a conversation with the children when they understand that the one parent is going to attend if you both work. But I think in a normal family, somebody has to show up to the soccer game. Somebody has to look at the report card. If it's not both parents and say that was a good job, that wasn't a good job. But it needs some parent in there to have the conversation. It doesn't matter which one.

I don't think they'll miss out. I think they just get older and have less patience. What you could do at 20, which most girls today don't have children or a large family in their early 20s, but what you feel like in your late 20s you don't feel like in your late 30s.
